And the winner is…

Ice Cream Maker Giveaway

First, before I announce the winner, I want to thank all of my readers for such nice comments!  It’s because of YOU and your comments that I’m encouraged to keep going with this blog.

Let’s look at a list of your top ten favorite ice cream flavors:

Your favorite… Mint Chocolate Chip!
Next favorite… Chocolate!

Now, I have to stop and interject right there because Mint Chocolate Chip is my husband’s favorite, and guess who’s favorite is Chocolate??  Mine!  You guys are right up our alley!!  As I was counting from your comments, and saw how close Chocolate and Mint Chocolate Chip were, I found myself hoping Chocolate would “win” as I started seeing it as a contest between me and my husband!  Ha!

Okay… now for the other eight:

Cookie Dough
Cookies ‘n Cream
Chocolate Peanut Butter…yum!
Cake Batter
Moose Tracks

You all have pretty normals tastes in ice cream.  There were, however, a few that stood out as quite interesting, such as Hokey Pokey (what’s that?) and Basil!?

Okay, so on to the reason you are really here.  Let me announce the winner of the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker.  Who’s number did generate?

The winner of my Happy 2-Year Blog Birthday giveaway is…

Ice Cream Giveaway Winner Comment

Congratulations Jessica!  Check your email, I’ll be contacting you for your mailing address so you can receive your Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker, compliments of Pennies on a Platter!

Jessica’s favorite ice cream flavor is Maggie Moo’s Better Batter ice cream.  Also known in some places as Cake Batter.  I’ll let you in on a little secret… I made Cake Batter ice cream yesterday in celebration of Jessica winning!  Check back tomorrow for the recipe.  :)

  4. I’m a bit of an ice cream connoisseur… yes, basil is tastier than you’d think, and especially good when blended with strawberry. (The version I had was at The Bent Spoon in Princeton, NJ.)
