My 4 ½ year old is growing like a weed. I'm surprised he hasn't complained of his knees hurting yet, or any other growing pains I hear can be painful during the night. Because of all of this growth, he needed a new carseat -- badly.
With all of the road trips we go on, I wanted to find a seat that was comfortable, but most of all safe. I can't remember how I came across Clek's Oobr fullback booster seat, but I remember that once I saw it and read about it, I needed to have it! We had a previous booster seat that didn't have latches, and one of the main safety features of the Oobr is it's Rigid LATCH system that locks into place and provides additional seat stability in a collision.
It is a more expensive booster, but this seat is going to be with us for a long time. The back is removable for when Judah grows and can use a backless booster. No need to buy another new seat! The adjustable headrest easily slides up and down to grow with him, as well.
Judah loves his new carseat and seems to be very comfortable in it (he's such a goober with pictures lately!). Since it reclines, he is able to rest better during our long road trips to visit family and complains less. Although, I do need to give him credit that he's always been a good traveler anyway!
