College Christmas Cookies

Last night was one of the most amusing nights I've had in my kitchen.  The reason?  I had the opportunity to share it with eight other fun gals (nine, if you include the precious 18 month old!)

Ben and I lead the weekly college/career Bible study group at our church.  We'll be hosting the Ugly Christmas Sweater party for them this Thursday and decided that it would be fun to get the girls of the group together and make cookies for the event.  Last night was that night, and it was fun!

The trick to hosting a baking party is making sure you are organized and have everything prepped in advance.  I borrowed two more stand mixers, added in a couple of stove top recipes that don't use the oven, and set up stations for each cookie's recipe in my kitchen.  There were 7 stations where I had the ingredients and supplies laid out, along with a printed copy of the recipe.  It also helps to have two ovens...ahhhh...I love my new kitchen.  😉

Below are a few photos of our night.  We made a couple of recipes from my blog and then some new ones.  I'm hoping to share the new recipes here in the future, depending on if I can snatch a good photo for you, too!

College Christmas Cookies5We may or may not have snuck in a few tastings here and there.

Only you could pull this off with a smile on your face - you are a talented (and patient) lady!

What a fun group of girls and a great opportunity to bond! All of those treats sound absolutely heavenly! Thanks for sharing. I hope you're having a lovely day and a nice start to the holiday season! Also, have a great time at your Ugly Sweater Party tonight! I think picture proof is in order for those festivities, too! 😉
