Penny Answers: Biscuit Recipe

penny-in-pinkOn the Penny page, Mama Bear asked “I was craving biscuits tonight while making dinner (butter chicken over rice) and would love your best biscuit recipe, if you don’t mind sharing!”

Well, Mama Bear, yesterday I posted these Cheesy Garlic Biscuits that are fantastic.  I made them just for you, in fact, so that I could take a picture and post them!  I love these and they are definitely a favorite.

Another favorite biscuit recipe of mine are these Buttery Buttermilk Biscuits.  They work well with my budget because I usually always have the ingredients on hand.  If I don’t have the buttermilk, then I just substitute it with a mixture of vinegar and milk.  (Mix 1 tbsp of vinegar per 1 cup of milk, let set for 5 minutes before using.)

Hope this helps!  Maybe my other readers can share their favorite biscuit recipes!

Awesome, thank you for the recipe!!!!

I’ve bookmarked it and am going to give it a try ASAP – I STILL have the biscuit craving and it’s been a few days!!!

My husband thinks I’m nuts…but I am really needing something bready and flaky and savory.

My husband’s favorite food might possibly be biscuits, lol. I don’t have a “go to” recipe yet. I’ll have to try this one! Thanks for posting.
