This Week on Pennies on a Platter
This section highlights the recipes posted this week on Pennies on a Platter and other updates to the blog, if any.
Must-Have Salsa - My favorite salsa can now be made in my own home. And, this recipe makes a ton to last us days!
Key Lime Pie Ice Cream - Key Lime Pie in ice cream form? Yes, please!
Grilled Chicken Bruschetta - Needing a healthy meal to off-set all that ice cream intake? Here it is.
Dug Out from the Archives
Let's dig into the archives and reconsider some of the older recipes on Pennies on a Platter that we ate this week. (Some of which I plan to re-post with new photos and better directions in the near future.)
Cheesy Bacon Potato Skins - This is one of my favorite appetizers, to make and to eat. If you like the potato skins from any restaurant, these are even better!
Caught My Eye
I love reading other blogs and websites, and often bookmark their recipes, products or reviews. These are a few that top my list from the week.
Spotify - A new music service to the US that has been operating in Europe for a while now. When signing up for this service, you can instantly play millions of tracks directly from your computer, iPod, iPad, etc. You can choose a free sign up with advertisements, or other premium packages starting at $4.99. Ben signed up for the $4.99 service and we can now play any tunes we like, all day long!
My Life as a Pastor's Wife and Food Blogger
Want more insight into my life as a Pastor's wife, mom, friend, relative and food blogger? Then, read on! If not, ignore this section. 🙂 This is a place for me to write what's on my mind and journal some of the crowning moments of my week.
We are currently in Scottsdale, AZ visiting Ben's brother and wife. This week was a fun one because we added a little toddler slide and climber to our backyard (thanks to a friend who is letting us borrow it.) Judah absolutely loves it and it helps give us something to do during the day that doesn't require the hassle of getting buckled up into the car and driving 15-20 minutes to the nearest playground.

Aside from the fun, we also had some car headaches this week. But, God has been so good to us in providing wonderful friends and strangers to help us with the fixes. In this process, we have gladly found a new mechanic-shop home for our cars. That's one of the hardest things to find when you move! Check that off the list! 🙂
Have a great weekend!
