Find a few minutes to flavor your moment with the new Tate+Lyle® Gourmet Beverage Syrups.  You can boost your normal cup of joe with just a couple ingredients and turn it into one of my favorites--the vanilla latte.  No fancy equipment needed! Brilliant!Low-Calorie Vanilla Latte (Skinny Vanilla Latte) - you can make at home without an espresso machine or fancy equipment! These days, I'm lucky if I fit in a cup of coffee once every day.  I'm the type of person who only drinks coffee if I can sip it and slowly enjoy it.  It needs to be a peaceful and refreshing environment. In other words, I don't drink it while on mom duty. I look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays, when the kids attend a Mom's Day Out program at the local church while I work on writing, recipe development, etc.  After I drop them off, and right before I get started on work, I sit down for about 30 minutes of quiet time with a hot cup of coffee.   Other days of the week, I wait until nap time for this moment, but it's not always guaranteed.

Because these rejuvenating moments can be so few, I often like to make the most of them.  One way I do this is by making my coffee "my way" with Tate+Lyle® Gourmet Beverage Syrups.  If you follow me on Instagram, you have seen that I typically use Tate+Lyle® Fairtrade Certified Sugars in my coffee, specifically their raw cane sugar.  Guess what?  As of this fall, they now have flavored syrups available in Caramel, Hazelnut, and Vanilla! The Tate+Lyle® Gourmet Beverage Syrups come in 12.7 fl. oz. bottles and are great for flavoring your coffee, tea, soda, smoothies, cocktails, etc.  Since 1878, Tate+Lyle® has been a trusted sweetener brand in the U.K. and just recently available throughout the U.S.!  You can find coupons for the flavored syrups in the Sunday Newspaper, December 7th, and also in issues of First for Women and Women's World. To download a coupon for $1.50 off you can go here!Low-Calorie Vanilla Latte (Skinny Vanilla Latte) - you can make at home without an espresso machine or fancy equipment! When I want to make my "me" time extra special, I use these syrups to flavor my coffee.  One of my favorite drinks is a simple vanilla latte, but I do not own an espresso machine or any fancy equipment.  A while back, I shared a recipe with you on making your own milk froth using a mason jar in the microwave.  Well, friends, this is how I make my vanilla latte at home using Tate+Lyle® Gourmet Beverage Syrups! If you don't have an espresso machine but would like to make a vanilla latte at home, go pick up some Tate+Lyle® Gourmet Beverage Syrups in the sugar aisle at your local Walmart or the coffee aisle at other fine retailers and follow my simple recipe below.  It's brilliant!

  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup low-fat milk
