Ingredients
4largeRusset potatoespeeled and cut into chunks
½cupbuttermore or less, to taste
1cupheavy creammore or less, to taste
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Place chopped potatoes in 6 quart slow cooker. Pour water or chicken broth over top until potatoes are just covered. Cook on high, covered, 4 hours until potatoes are fork tender.
Drain potatoes and return to slow cooker. Add rest of ingredients and mash. Keep on warm until ready to serve, up to 2 hours.
Notes
To help keep mashed potatoes moist while staying warm in slow cooker, place a few tablespoons of butter on top.
