My older sister and I hosted a Disney bridal shower for our baby sister. All of the ideas are simple enough to pull this off within a day or two (like we did)!
It turned out super cute with the themed food we served. There are no particular recipes, except for two -- which I'll link to as I post them.
We ordered the invitation design from Prisellie Designs through Etsy and I printed them on photo paper through Walgreens. A tip: Walgreens will give you free envelopes! This is how I keep my invitations cheap for all of my parties.
A few months before the shower, my sisters, mom and I were at Disney for a girls trip so we sneakily bought our little sister a bride's Mickey ears while there. We presented them to her at the shower for her to wear.
As the guests arrived, we asked them to take a princess ring to wear for a game. They were to wear their ring and try to catch other guests saying the words "wedding" or "bride". If they did, they could snatch their ring and the guest with the most rings at the end of the party won a prize! We bought the rings for really cheap at Party City .
Let's take a look at the menu:
Aurora's forest berries = fresh strawberries and blueberries in a pretty dish. Easy peasy.
Chip's Chips from Beauty and the Beast = Ruffles chips in a serving bowl.
Ariel's Seaweed Dip = A simple spinach dip served in a cute fish bowl we bought at the dollar store, served with Wheat Thins.
Olaf's Noses = Baby carrots served with ranch dip in a blue plastic tray from the dollar store.
Chicken salad sandwiches to represent the line in a Frozen song, "We finish each other's sandwiches."
Pixie Stix for the fairies and Midnight Kisses for Cinderella = Hershey's kisses.
Gaston's Cinnamon Rolls from Beauty and the Beast = Cinnamon rolls we ordered from our favorite local bakery.
Rapunzel's Braid - We were excited to find these golden twist candies at Party City!

One of my favorites on the menu was the Dole Whip Punch. My little sister and I share a love of the Dole Whips at Disney, so to serve this at her shower as a punch was perfect. (Recipe to come.) We also had water in a pitcher and labeled it "Wishing Well Water."
Of course, we had to label the forks at Dinglehoppers from the Little Mermaid. 🙂
We found these Disney princess place mats for a good price that added to the decor.
This was our biggest splurge, which really wasn't all that much anyway. We loved having Cinderella as a guest at our party! It was fun to have this large balloon kind of float around the room with the guests.
As the guests left, we made sure they took their party favor - Princess Pearls. We found the princess buckets at Party City along with the silver chocolate candies.
As hosts, we wore these dollar store princess tiaras. It was such a fun party to put together, especially since it was with my sisters! If you have any questions on anything you see above, feel free to leave a comment below!
