There is no other Valentine baking for kids idea easier than these 3-ingredient Heart Sandwich Cookies.  My "recipe" consists of picking up a package of Pillsbury heart shaped refrigerated cookie dough, a tub of your favorite frosting, and whatever valentine sprinkles you want!  I pretty much gave you the recipe right there.

Easy Valentine Activity

Valentine's Day can be fun with your kids, but sometimes it causes unnecessary stress.  We want to be crafty with them and do Valentines activities together, yet many of us parents do not have the time or energy for some of these Pinterest worthy and amazing crafts.

That's why I love these heart shaped cookies from Pillsbury.  (No, this is not a sponsored post!)  We first made these years ago in 2015 as an idea I contributed for Pillsbury's website.  It's continued to be a fun valentine idea for my kids, and I wanted to remind you in case you're finding yourself just as busy, needing an easy activity!

3-Ingredient Cookies

Make a quick run to the store and pick up these three things:

  • Pillsbury Heart Shaped Cut-Out Sugar Cookies
  • A tub of frosting
  • Valentine sprinkles

With Pillsbury's heart-shaped refrigerated cookie dough and a tub of frosting, you only need a third ingredient to throw these heart sandwich cookies together -- sprinkles!  Now, who doesn't love sprinkles??  Ok, so technically this can be a TWO-ingredient cookie recipe because you don't have to have the sprinkles... I guess.

The sprinkles makes this more fun for the kids and it's definitely much more festive!  Plus, it's an extra step that will keep the kids busy.  It also promotes fine motor skills!

Although you really don't need a recipe for this, I've put together a recipe card in case you want to print and save it.  Have fun with your kiddos!  Share a picture of your heart shaped sandwich cookies on my Instagram so I can see!
