Apple Picking at Epelgaarden

Apple Picking at Epelgaarden

My in-laws were in town this weekend.  Usually when they come to town we drive up to Madison, WI to see Ben's brother and his wife.  So, this weekend when we drove up there, our sister-in-law made plans for the gals to go apple picking while the guys were golfing.  Our friends from Chicago also came up to enjoy these events with us.

The orchard we went to is called Epelgaarden.  They had a few different types of apples to pick, but our favorite were the Jonagolds.

We all came back with a big bag of apples, so I'll be making some apple treats the next few days that hopefully will be post worthy.  Be on the look-out.

Some friends of ours went apple picking the other day and loved it...I've been wanting to go because it seems like such a "fall" thing to do! We moved to Wheaton last December from Southern California and we don't have fall there. Just so you know, your blog was the inspiration for mine! I saw you in "Glancer" magazine. What other food blogs do you recommend?
