Chicken Rice Green Bean Puree

UPDATE 10/25/10:  This giveaway is now closed.  The winner will be announced tomorrow.

Judah is now eating a lot of the food that we eat, which makes things much easier for me.  But, it also means I don't have many more favorite homemade baby food recipes to share.  In fact, I believe I only have one that I might post later this week or next.

The above photo is a chicken, rice and green beans puree that I blended up and froze.  I did this almost two months ago right when we moved to California.  A few families from the church made meals for us during our first two weeks here (so nice!) and one of the meals was baked chicken, rice and green beans.  I took our leftovers and blended them in my food processor so that Judah could also partake.  The rest went into the freezer.  He loved it!

Top 100 Baby PureesSince we're rounding it up on the homemade baby food front, I thought I would give you a chance to win the book I used often in my journey, Top 100 Baby Purees by Annabel Karmel. I mentioned this book in earlier posts, but I didn't share any of the recipes on this site.  Here's your chance to get a copy of the recipes for free (although it's very inexpensive to buy).

If you do not have a baby to feed, and you're not expecting, consider giving this book as a baby shower gift.  You can package it with other homemade baby food essentials, such as ice cube trays, freezer bags, baby spoons, bibs, etc.  But, make sure to leave them a receipt as the recipient might not be up for making their own purees! 🙂

Let's make this fun!  Since it's almost Halloween, to enter the giveaway, leave me a comment with your favorite Halloween candy. Is it kit-kats (like mine)?  Or, M&M's (definitely not mine!)?  🙂  The winner will be chosen randomly.  Don't forget to leave your email address in the designated field so I can contact you if you win.  One winner will be chosen next Monday, October 25th.  Have fun!

*This giveaway is in no way sponsored by the book's publisher or author.  It is merely a small gift from yours truly!
