Every fall I hang these football burlap wreaths on my double front doors to celebrate the football season.  You can make the same football burlap wreath in 20 minutes and for less than $20!

Brown and green burlap wreath with football decorationsToday I am sharing a quick idea for your front door this fall.  Go beyond the traditional fall wreath and hang something sporty like these football burlap wreaths!  In a house of boys, my family prefers these football wreaths over the usual floral wreath.  🙂  Just like they enjoy a football banner over our fireplace (see this free printable).

To make a burlap wreath, all you need are 3 items:  wire wreath frame, burlap, and wire.  This quick 2-minute video tutorial is all you need to follow to learn how to make the burlap wreath.

For my football wreaths, I layered two different colors of burlap.  The brown reminds me of the color of the leather football and the green represents the field.  Once I made the burlap wreaths, I hot glued foam footballs and the cute football banner in the center (from Hobby Lobby).  Piece of cake!

Two football burlap wreaths hanging on double front doorsBurlap wreaths are super cheap to make, especially when you take advantage of coupons from Michael's and Hobby Lobby.  Seriously, plan ahead and buy one item one day, go back the next day (or later the same day) to buy another item -- etc. etc. so that you can use the coupon on all of the items.  Hobby Lobby always has a 40% coupon available on their app, and Michael's typically offers one, too!

If you do not have a Michael's or Hobby Lobby or craft store nearby, Amazon has everything you need (except the football banner) -- I linked within the post.

You can take this same idea and decorate for your own interests, like soccer, baseball in the spring, pumpkins, Christmas elves, Easter bunnies, Saint Patrick's leprachauns, birthday party themes, etc.  The ideas are limitless, have fun with it!

I hope this helps you learn how to make your own football burlap wreath.  Comment below with any questions, or follow me on Instagram to show me photos of your wreaths!
