Super fun to make with your kids, you can basically use any plain cookie recipe for the base of these adorable red-nosed reindeer. Just make sure they are fluffy and sturdy cookies to hold the antlers.

Ingredients
½cupshortening
¾cuppeanut butter
⅓cupsgranulated sugar
⅓cupbrown sugar
1egg
2Tablespoonsmilk
1teaspoonvanilla
1 ½cupsflour
1teaspoonbaking soda
½teaspoonsalt
36red M&M's
72mini semisweet chocolate chips
Twisted pretzels, broken into 72 small pieces for antlers
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone liner.
Cream together the shortening, peanut butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, milk and vanilla.
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the butter mixture and blend until combined. Scoop dough into 1-inch balls onto the baking sheet. Bake on center rack for 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and immediately place 1 red M&M on the center of each cookie, 2 chocolate chips as eyes, and 2 pretzel pieces as antlers. Allow to cool completely on baking sheet set on wire rack. Repeat with remaining dough and candy.
