Ingredients
1tablespoonolive oil
1cupdiced yellow onion(about half a large onion)
4clovesgarlic, minced
1 ½lbground beef
1 ½teaspoonssalt
1 ½tablespoonschili powder
1tablespoonground cumin
1teaspoonpaprika
¾teaspoonground coriander
½cupbeef broth
For Serving (optional):
tortillas (soft or hard shell)
shredded lettuce
avocado slices
diced tomatoes
diced raw onions
salsa
shredded cheese
Instructions
Heat oil over medium heat in large saute pan or deep skillet.
Add onions and cook for 2 minutes; tossing occasionally. Add garlic, cook additional 1 minute.
Add ground beef and brown over medium heat while breaking up into small pieces; drain excess grease.
In a small bowl, combine the salt, chili powder, cumin, paprika and coriander. Sprinkle over the meat mixture and stir in the broth. Cook over medium high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer 10 to 15 minutes, or until most of the liquid is gone but meat is still moist.
Serve hot in tortilla shells with taco fixins.
