UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed.  The winner, chosen randomly, is Rachel Tilly who said: "My parents always give us PJs on Christmas Eve–this tradition has continued even though I’m a married adult–I love it!!" Congratulations, Rachel! Check your email for instructions on how to claim your prize! 🙂

Keurig Storage Case GiveawayChristmas is now less than one week away.  We are in full swing and I bet you are, too!  The hustle and bustle in your kitchen is probably enough to drive you crazy, searching for enough counter space to roll out those gingerbread cookies, organize your Christmas baskets, plus cook dinner for your family.

If you have a Keurig brewer, you might be in need of even more counter space to store your favorite K-Cup packs. Well, as a holiday wish to all of you, Keurig is offering one of my lucky readers with a K-Cup® Pack Countertop Storage Drawer (valued at $29.99)! This storage case has two independent drawers that hold a total of 24 K-Cup packs.  With its sleek and reversible design, you can place it on either side of your Keurig.  Plus, two drawers means room for creativity in how you organize your K-Cup packs.  Maybe you want to keep your favorites separate from your spouse's?  How about a kid-friendly drawer and adults only?  Oh, the possibilities!

A little preview of tomorrow's giveaway post. #yourperfectcupI have this exact storage case and love it.  The drawers open very smoothly, it doesn't take up much space at all while nestled up against my brewer and I love that it fits 24 K-Cup packs.  Maybe I'll even get myself another one to rest on the other side of my machine and have 48 packs available to choose from at a time!  😉

Here are the simple rules on how to enter for your chance to win a K-Cup® Pack Countertop Storage Drawer:

  • To enter, please leave a comment on the post telling me your favorite holiday tradition.  Is it making cookies, traveling somewhere special, singing Christmas carols, sleeping under the tree?  I can't wait to hear!
  • One entry per person, please.
  • Open to US residents only.
  • Contest will close Friday, December 21st at 9:00 PM EST.
  • Winner will be chosen by Random.org and announced at the top of this post.  Winner will also be notified by email.  If a response is not received within 1 week of being notified, a new winner will be chosen.
  • This giveaway is sponsored by Keurig and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc.

If you do not win this time, never fear!  This storage case is available for purchase with a 15% discount for Pennies on a Platter readers at greenmountaincoffee.com by using the keycode: CELEBRATE8166.   Better yet, this online code will get you 15% off anything storewide until December 31st!  YES!

Good luck, folks!  Back tomorrow with a breakfast recipe you'll want to prep for Christmas day!  Ta-ta!

Disclosure: I am working with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. to share my love of my Keurig brewer, K-Cup packs and accessories with products they supply to me each month.  However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

My favorite tradition is a Christmas Eve Italian dinner with a big pan of my Nana's lasagna, garlic bread, and Caesar salad. Followed by driving around listening to Christmas music and looking at Christmas lights. My sister and I had a tradition of yelling " I see Christmas lights!" If you were the first to see them! Then we could open one gift before bed ( which was usually a new robe, slippers, or pjs)!

Our Families favorite traditions happen on Christmas eve. We always eat tamale's and beans. Then into our PJ's and snuggle up to watch the Polar Express with hot chocolate and cookies. Then into the car to drive around looking at Christmas lights. When everyone is good and sleepy it is home to get into bed and wait for Santa to arrive.

My kids are grown now, but when we are together on Christmas day, it's always fun going back in time and remembering when they were young children and the expressions on their face when they saw what Santa had left for them. Our Christmas was always spent at my parents and in-laws homes. what a wonderful time when Santa came.Big family. Then came the year we lived too far away to go home, what to do with 3 kids, how do we make it special. We decided to make it fun all day by having them open 1 present each every hour. The day turned out wonderful. We missed our family but the fun we had with our children playing with their gifts and their anticipation through the day was wonderful. We have carried this tradition on for almost 35 years. Our children and grandchildren wouldn't have it any other way.our children do it with their kids before they come to our house in the afternoon. They live close and are able to have Christmas morning at home then we have Christmas all together. What started as a way to fill hours without lots of family has brought us much joy and happiness.

My mother always made ambrosia a few days before Christmas. It came from her southern roots. It was a delicate salad of chopped oranges, pink grapefruit, diced apples, bananas, and bits of maraschino cherries with shredded coconut. Sometimes she put a tiny bit of sugar in it, but you really tasted the delicious fruit instead. Us kids picked the citrus from our backyard on sunny Southwestern December days. We were so excited to eat it. She cut tiny pieces of fruit with a large towel draped across her as she sat in the easy chair and watched television to pass the time. It was a labor of love. We ate is for breakfast, snacks, and dessert for most of the week. If we were lucky, there was enough left to accompany a grand breakfast on Christmas Day. Now that she is gone, I plan to make it for the first time. Each bite of ambrosia reminds me of her and how much she loved Christmas traditions with her family.

Our Christmas tradition is to watch Miracle on 34th Street and Its a Wonderful Life .
Our New Years Eve one is to have sherbet (lime and orange) and ginger ale, served in fancy glasses of course!

Despite being much older now, my sister and I still make sure we don't walk out to see the tree until we are both up and ready to go! I love it.

My favorite Christmas tradition is that my mom never puts her presents under the tree until Christmas eve so that you get the whole surprise in the morning. Although this seemed silly as my sister and I got older, it is beautiful to see the grandkid's wonder in the morning.

Reading Christmas stories and singing happy birthday to Jesus. My Grandma always made an angle food cake and had a nativity scene on top. I am planning on making one this year to take to my in-laws. They may find it an odd tradition but I like being reminded of the reason for the season.

My favorite tradition is making candy with my family. I think we eat more while making it than we actually "make", but its good fun none the less.

My family gets together on Christmas Eve every year, which I love. But for the last couple years, my brothers and spontaneously end up gathering at our parents' house on Christmas Day. This unplanned gathering has become my favorite part of the holidays. We watch Christmas movies, munch on leftovers, and play board games, just like we did 15 years ago, when we all lived under one roof. I love it!

When we're home for Christmas morning, my sister and I still wake our parents up by jumping on the bed like we did when we were little, even though we're both now adults. 🙂

My favorite tradition is decorating the tree with my son. He inevitably puts all of the decorations in one small spot, but I love it and it makes me giggle everytime I walk past the tree!

Since my brothers' and my first Christmases, my parents have purchased a Hallmark ornament for us each year. We're all grown, but they still get ornaments for us ( and for my husband). This year will be my son's first Christmas, and now he has his first Hallmark ornament. The tradition continues!

Mine is not so much a tradition, but I just love being able to spend as much time as possible with family. After all the presents are exchanged and opened we all just relax and enjoy the time together.

My favorite holiday traditions would be a hard tie between decorating the tree (I'm not a big decorator, but the tree is a must, and maybe the most fun I have all year!) and baking. I have 3 daughters who love to be in the kitchen with me. So we're making some great memories! Yeah Christmas!!!

We are actually starting a new tradition this year with our boys, ages 5 and 2. It is a Christmas Eve movie box. You put in new pjs, a movie, popcorn, hot chocolate etc, wrap it like a present and have them open it on Christmas Eve and then enjoy the contents as a family. I got the idea from pinterest and I really love it!
