Take a sweet and salty refresher with this salted whipped cream over a cold brew coffee.

Salted Cream Iced CoffeeRecently, a friend posted a photo on her Instagram -- a salted cream iced coffee drink.  I saw it at exactly the moment when I was breaking from the morning's adventures of chasing an almost 2 year old, listening to the nonstop stories of a 5 year old, while attempting to accomplish a few household chores.  It was finally break time, aka nap time.

You mommas know what I'm talking about.  Sweet, precious, nap time.  Judah no longer naps, but we still require "quiet time" for him while Simon is napping.  This gives me a quick break to get work done on my computer, or read a book/devotional, or even take a much needed power nap!  But, you know what I almost always do during this treasured time?  I sneak some sort of treat for myself.  In the last couple of days, it's been Pepperidge Farm® Milano® cookies!

Salted Cream Iced CoffeeAlong with a treat to eat, I always save coffee time for nap time.  So, this particular day that I saw the salted cream iced coffee photo, I decided I needed to make this for my next treat time.  To make it fast and easy, I cheated and use store-bought whipped cream instead of whipping my own.  But, hey, I need to savor every last minute of glorious nap time, so this short cut was necessary.

Salted Cream Iced Coffee Use the recipe for my easy cold brew coffee and sweeten it with my simple syrup, then top with the recipe for salted cream.  It's delicious, unique, and a perfect refreshment to get you going again.

Salted Cream Iced CoffeeThe Milano dulce de leche cookies are my favorite and pairs beautifully with this salted cream iced coffee.  If you think about the salted caramel iced coffee craze then you understand why.

I am currently at home 24/7 caring for my Dad who is staying with us after surgery. I have tucked a few crosswords in the laundry room area and I've been known to say "Do you need anything? I'm going to go throw in a load of laundry...." and then disappear for 20 minutes. (sometimes with a glass of wine. 🙂 )

The only time I really find a break is at night after everything is done in the house.

I like to have a cup of tea in the afternoon. It helps me to get away from the craziness of work. I don't always have cookies with my tea, but when I do I prefer shortbread, and Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies are some of the best shortbread with chocolate cookies to have with tea!

Coffee is a great breaktime treat. I also try to get a workout in every day. Lately that has not been happening because the little one refuses to nap 🙁 I still put her into the crib for a bit because a I need the break badly, then spend it feeling guilty. Oh, well, it's the life 🙂

This recipe looks amazing, thank you!

Nap time is my break time most days as well. Even though I only have one that naps, my older 5 do their chores, schoolwork, and read. I at least get 15-30 minutes of quiet.

Oh this coffee sounds so dangerous!! Love cold brew 🙂 I Love taking a break when my little guy goes down at night with my husband and a little homemade popcorn on the couch. We usually watch a quick tv show before heading to bed lol.

My afternoon break usually consists of having a cup of unsweetened nut milk with something sweet (like a cookie or brownie), that way, I get my daily dose of calcium while balancing the sweetness level and feel less guilty about enjoying a sweet treat!

I find a break from all that I juggle throughout the day by sitting out on the patio with a good book and a nice glass of wine.
