  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 3 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1-2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • Combine all ingredients in a small jar.  Cover and shake to mix.  Store in pantry until ready to use as directed in your recipe.
  • To make taco meat, use about 2 tablespoons seasoning per 1 pound of meat.  Brown meat, sprinkle on seasoning and cook over medium heat with 1/3 cup of water or broth.  Simmer until liquid is absorbed.
