This recipe is simple to make using Hawaiian rolls or any 12-count slider-sized rolls. The remaining ingredients are the basic staples for your favorite classic cheeseburger. Here's what you need:

  • ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup finely diced yellow onion
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt (like Lawry’s), plus more for topping
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 12 ct. Hawaiian slider rolls (1 package, rolls in tact)
  • 10 slices American cheese (like Kraft)
  • ¼ cup mayo
  • 2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds

How to Make Baked Cheeseburger Sliders

The steps to make these baked sliders are very easy and straightforward. With just a few easy actions, you can have a delicious dish ready to serve in no time. Follow these simple steps:

Preheat:

Preheat the Oven to 350°F.

Cook the Beef Mixture:
ground beef cooking in a skillet

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook until it softens, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Season with seasoned salt and pepper.
  • Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  • Stir in the tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce, cooking until well combined and heated through.

Prepare the Rolls:
slicing rolls in half

  • Using a serrated bread knife, slice all 12 rolls in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom half for each roll. Keep the rolls connected in a single slab.
  • Place the bottom halves of the rolls in a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Assemble the Sliders:
layers of meat and cheese in casserole dish

  • Layer half of the cheese slices evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  • Spread the beef mixture evenly over the cheese.
  • Top with the remaining cheese slices.

Prepare the Spread:
burger sauce over slider buns

  • In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
  • Spread this mixture evenly over the cut side of the top halves of the rolls.

Finish Assembling:
brushing butter over slider buns

  • Place the top halves of the rolls over the beef and cheese layer in the baking dish. Brush top with melted butter and sprinkle with more seasoned salt (or everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds).

Bake:
